The winners of the 6thGood Spa Guide 2021 regional awards were announced at a lavish afternoon tea ceremony yesterday at The Lanesborough Hotel, London, itself winner of Best Urban Spa earlier this year.
And after another strange year, everybody was in the mood to celebrate - even the Christmas decorations appeared to scream "let's party".
Seventy selected guests from the world of spa and media attended the event which took place in the opulent Belgravia Room, with its open fire place, frescoed ceiling and opulent chandeliers. Only the best for The Good Spa Guide, don't you know... Guests were offered a glass of Champagne before making their way to their seats.
Director Daphne Metland welcomed everybody to the event before inviting them to enjoy some delectable finger sandwiches and savoury buns served on Bone China three-tier platters. Look how pretty...
Each guest received a gift from spa powerhouse Germaine de Cappucini: a TimeExpert C+ face mask for spa-ing at home.
Daphne then addressed the guests to announce the winners of the first five categories, naming the three finalists in each before crowning the winner. During the applause, representatives from winning spas and their sponsors made their way to the front to accept their engraved (and by all accounts super heavy) statuettes and have their photographs taken.
And here’s our first crop of winners… congratulations to all.

Daphne then invited everybody to enjoy festive gingerbread cupcakes, Cranberry Christmas pavlova and scones with jam and cream before announcing the final four winners - how cute are these snowmen? Delicious, too.

Journalists left with gift bags containing products from our wonderul sponsors Gaia Skincare, OTO CBD, Million Dollar Facial and Natura Bissè, without whom we couldn’t run this event.
And that was it for another year - what a celebration it was. That just leaves me, Stylish Spa, to say is a huge congratulations to all our finalists and winners - a master stroke in these challenging times. See you next year.
