TDV range

Inspired by the scent of the grape vines at the Caudalie vineyard at sunset, the Thé des Vignes range of body products are lightweight and great for summer. This year there’s a new addition – Thé des Vignes Body and Hair Nourish Oil. As fans of body oils the Spa Spies were eager to get their hands on the range.

Each product has subtle notes of white musk, neroli and ginger. Layered in conjunction with one another (shower gel followed by the moisturiser or oil, the fragrance and hand cream) the products leave a delicate, yet uplifting summery scent that lasts all day. For the Spa Spies the scent evokes happy memories of long summer evenings on holiday. So not only is our skin soft and smooth, but we get a little mood boost as a gentle wave of scent hits us throughout the day.

Here’s how to layer….

Step 1 – Use the Caudalie Thé des Vignes Shower Gel

200ml, £9

Key ingredients: aloe vera, white musk, neroli flower, ginger.

The scent of this light and gentle shower gel envelops you as soon as you open the lid. It feels soft and smooth on your skin and lathers up nicely. It does what it’s supposed to do well, gently cleansing the skin, and has the added bonus of leaving behind a sweet scent. It’s a great base upon which to layer the rest of the Thé des Vignes range.

“The scent of blossoms, ginger and musk is such a highlight first thing – it is subtle, sweet and summery.”

Step 2- Moisturise with Thé des Vignes Body and Hair Nourishing Oil or Nourishing Body Oil

Did you know that scent lasts longer on moisturised skin?

Caudalie Thé des Vignes Body and Hair Nourishing Oil

50ml, £18

Key ingredients:  argan oil, grapeseed oil, sesame oil, shea butter.

This nourishing oil has a spray pump to dispense the skincare product, saving you from pouring the oil all over your bathroom! The oils rubs quickly into the skin, so it’s best to work on small areas at a time. It absorbs fast and leaves the skin feeling smooth and moisturised all day.

The oil is more subtly fragranced than the shower gel, but the delicate infusion of orange blossom and warming ginger remains on the skin long after application.

“It’s perfect for summer – the oil gently hydrates the skin leaving it smooth and soft without leaving any thick residue”

Caudalie Thé des Vignes Nourishing Body Lotion

200ml, £18 or 400ml, £27

Key ingredients: grape seed oil and sesame seed oil

This lightweight moisturiser is hassle free, quick and easy to use. A couple of pumps is enough to nourish your skin all day. The product is so light, but just as hydrating as thick moisturisers and body butters. It absorbs into the skin within seconds leaving behind no tackiness or residue – perfect as part of your body care for the warmer months. The delicate floral scent is just the icing cake.

“Summery, silky soft skin all wrapped up in one gorgeous looking bottle”

Step Three – Spritz yourself with Thé des Vignes Fresh Fragrance

50ml, £27 or 100ml, £32

Key notes:  white musk, neroli, ginger, orange blossom and jasmine

Ingredients: Alcohol (plant origin), aqua, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate (octinoxate), butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane (avobenzone), ethylhexyl salicylate (octisalate), limonene, linalool, citral.

The scent of this fresh fragrance (eau fraiche) is divine. The sensual notes of white musk makes the scent subtly sexy and the orange blossom and jasmine add a delicately feminine and floral edge. It’s the perfect parfum pick me up in the morning and helps to cure my mid-afternoon slump. The fragrance complements the rest of the range nicely. When layered with the other products it adds a fresh and uplifting twist that you notice throughout the day.

Fragrance is personal, but for me this sensual fragrance reminds me of long hot summer evenings, the feeling of the warm sun setting and cool sea breeze on my skin.

“A spritz of this conjures gorgeously sultry summer evenings with silky-fresh sea air.”

Step Four – Apply the Thé des Vignes hand and nail cream twice a day

50ml, £9

Key ingredients:  grape seed oil and shea butter

This lightweight, cooling hand cream sinks quickly into your skin. It’s a quick shot of hydration for the hands and the lack of residue makes it great for on the go. As with the other products the scent is subtle: I find it lasts for a few hours before disappearing. Not only does it smell and feel great, it also makes your hands look fabulous. A delightful addition to your guest bathroom and a handbag essential.

“The scent and silky-soft feeling is addictive – you’ll want to apply this all day long!”
