We discovered Natura Bissé’s C+C Vitamin Body Cream (250ml, £102) this month and can only describe it as summer in a tube. With its orange packaging, white lid and white moisturising cream that smells overwhelmingly like a freshly peeled orange, it’s my new post-shower fave for a morning zing. It’s not just about the heady scent though – this rich, nutrient-packed body cream is also firming (intensely so according to the website), hydrating and revitalising with its blend of amino acids, vitamins and rose hip oil. Despite the high price point, a little goes a very long way – it will see me through to autumn I’m sure.
Temple Spa’s Moisture to Glow (50ml, £44) has taken up pride of place on my dressing table this season with its fun, vibrant orange pot. Twist off the lid and allow the delicious, sweet orange oil to transport you to the Mediterranean sunshine (because we don’t get much in Manchester). The vitamin A, C & E and alpha arbutin ingredients promote a healthy-looking radiant glowing. I have been using the lightweight gel-like moisturiser in the morning after cleansing (with its Temple Spa range partner Easy Glowing Vitamin C cleanser); it absorbs into the skin leaving it suitably moisturised all day.
After just a short time of Omorovicza’s Refining Facial Polisher (100ml, £62) featuring in my daily routine, my dull-looking skin has been transformed. The glossy white tube - with clear window revealing a deep green Hungarian moor mud exfoliator - now lives in my shower and I reach for it twice a week (usually on hair wash days). Infused with marine microalgae and natural pumice, you can also use like a face mask, too - apply and leave for five minutes before removing. My oily skin is noticeably more balanced with a brighter glow. Try the smaller travel size (30ml, £22), too.
Oskia’s Super C Beauty Capsules (60 capsules, £72) are my new best friend with their cute heart shape and bright orange hue differentiating them from the night capsules, which are blue. Just one capsule is super-charged with smart nutrients and actives such asVitamin E, Squalane and Tomato Lycopene. Pinch and twist off the neck, gently squish the oil into your hands and smooth it all over your face for instantly brighter, more nourished skin. The capsules are biodegradable, too; once the last capsules is used (sniff), hold onto the pot and purchase a refill (60 capsules, £61).
I have been removing my make-up with Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm which is available in every size imaginable (20g, £13.50; 50g, £29.00; 100g, £49 & 200g, £83). The product comes in a clear thick plastic jar with attractive chrome lid. With the spatula provided, warm a dollop of the lemony balm between the palms and smooth it around your face and neck – there’s no need to add water – breathing in the essential oils of Lavender, Chamomile and Eucalyptus. Even long-lasting make-up will dissolve quickly (even mascara) before needing to be removed with a warm cloth. My skin instantly looks refreshed and feels smooth.
I have been drizzling a little ESPA Positivity Bath & Body Oil (100ml, £36) into a running bath to lift the spirits of an evening. The fragrance of Jasmine, Gardenia and Rose Germanium provides a burst of joy, while Bergamot and Sweet Orange fills the air with sweet summer notes. Before getting in, I pop a little of the oil onto my pulse points and temples, too, eventually sliding my shoulder under the water and relaxing. After drying off I smooth the oil over my body to nourish my skin. The oil is M-tick approved, too, meaning its menopause friendly.
