The Spread Eagle is an historic property in the middle of a picturesque Sussex market town. The hotel has all the traditional touches – from oak-beams to leaded-lined windows and an inglenook fireplace. The spa is a modern addition, offering Temple Spa treatments and a bright pool area, with a beamed ceiling and doors opening onto a pretty spa garden. Indoors, there’s a secluded whirlpool and small steam room and sauna. Enjoy lunch in robes in the bright and airy conservatory.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, mid-morning coffee or a full afternoon tea. With its inglenook fireplace and welcoming atmosphere the restaurant is a stunning setting, or you may like to sit by the fire in the oak-beamed bar or bask in the warmth of the conservatory. When the sun shines head outside to the terrace or inner courtyard. The heraldic Jacobean Hall is available for private events/dining.
A gin bar has more than 100 different gins - some more unusual than others - and 12 different tonics on offer. Guests can create their own gin journey and complete their cocktail from a menu of fresh garnishes, many home-grown from the hotel garden.

Arriving by car:
From M25 take the A3 south towards Guildford and Portsmouth.
Exit the A3 at Milford and take the A286 to Midhurst.
From Midhurst High Street, turn left after the second set of traffic lights into Knockhundred Row and follow the road up for approximately 250m. The Spread Eagle is located on the right hand side of the road by the Market Square in the old part
of Town.

From London Waterloo to Haslemere takes around 50 minutes with a further 15 minute taxi ride to the hotel.
