Thermal facilities
It might look like a classic Norfolk pub from the outside, but step inside and The Pigs is anything but ordinary. Eighteen romantic rooms feature in-room spa amenities that vary by room type, including steam rooms, saunas, dual-bathing bathtubs, and outdoor hot tubs, all designed for slowing down and switching off together in complete privacy.
Treatments are available to both day guests and overnight guests, including couples’ massages, facials, and reflexology, all tailored to your needs and using TEMPLESPA products throughout. The Spa Garden, complete with hot tub, sauna, heated loungers and hot and cold therapy showers, is reserved exclusively for Half‑Day Spa Experience guests, giving you uninterrupted time to unwind and relax.
There’s no spa café at The Pigs, but we do have a country pub serving good, honest food all day long.
Brunch is served until 2pm (12pm on Sundays), with dishes like a classic fry-up or the much-loved haddock “smokey”.
Dinner features hearty British favourites with a twist, such as belly of pork, lamb hotpot, or a double Norfolk cheese soufflé. Sundays are all about roasts with all the trimmings and, of course, the famous Pudding Table. Load your plate with sweet treats… just be sure to clear it before going back for more.
The Pigs has 18 rooms in total, each with in-room spa facilities to help guests relax in their own space. The Original Spa Rooms feature a sauna, dual-bathing bathtub, and a private courtyard with a fire pit.
Spa Suites include everything found in the Original Spa Rooms, with the added bonus of a steam room.
For an extra special stay, there are three Super Suites: Bubble & Squeak, Sty in the Sky, and The Wallow, each featuring spa amenities such as hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms. These tend to book up over a year in advance. Sty in the Sky spans two floors and includes a private lounge and a William Holland bathtub.
We're open every day. The pub welcomes guests from 8am until late, while the spa is open from Friday to Monday, 9am-8:30 pm, and Tuesday to Thursday, 10am-6pm.
There’s plenty of parking onsite at The Pigs, so driving is nice and easy. For those not travelling by car, the nearest train station is Sheringham, around 20 minutes away by taxi. There is a local bus that runs through Edgefield to and from Cromer, but it’s Monday to Friday only and runs at limited times, so it's best to check the timetable in advance.
Treatments can be adapted for guests with low mobility. Treatment rooms feature wide doors and adjustable beds for easier access. Therapists are confident in tailoring treatments to individual needs.
The changing area is not wheelchair accessible, and there is no separate disabled changing room.
The Spa Garden is not easily accessible; both the hot tub and sauna require steps. Heated loungers are more reachable.
