Sitting along the banks of the Llangollen Canal, on the border between Wales and Shropshire, Lion Quays is a charming place to stop by for a bite to eat, catch-up with friends, relax in the spa and / or spend a night (or two) in one of our comfy rooms or suites.
Our thoughtfully designed spa allows you to indulge in soothing treatments and serene surroundings with this simple ethos: relax and take care of yourself, of course - but don't forget to enjoy it, too.
Waterside
From breakfast to brunch and dinner to drinks, head to Waterside. Think locally sourced ingredients, classic dishes with a modern twist, and a bar that offers over 200 whiskies and gins.
Café Ash is a relaxed space serving snacks, cakes, sandwiches and, of course, a great cup of coffee or tea. Pick up something to go or sit in — the choice is yours.
Nico’s is open for lunch for all spa guests, lunch to be taken in your robes with tapas options.

Each room includes all the essentials like tea- and coffee-making facilities, club access, 24-hour room service, and really comfy Hypnos beds. Most have gorgeous countryside views, too.
Check in any time from 15:00 and check out from 11:00.

Monday to Friday: 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Weekends: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Plenty of parking on site which is complimentary and we do have EV charges on site.
Nearest train station is Gobowen with a 20-minute walk to the hotel, the resort can support with organising taxis.
Nearest bus station is also located near the train station in Gobowen.
