We moved offices on Friday! The team has been busy growing and we couldn't go on sitting on each other's laps and sharing the pencil. So, it's been a week of cardboard boxes and flinging out bits of paper we haven't seen for years. Out, too, went that strange collection of creams and lotions that had sat on top of the filing cabinet for so long that no-one could remember whether they were supposed to be something you put on your skin or something you ate. We also found many strange bits of plastic that everyone swore they had never seen before, and computer wires, whose function no-one had any idea of, but were too scared to throw away.
In a flurry of activity, we were out of our dear old home by 10.30am, then spent the rest of the day dusting, trying to make our fancy-schmancy new telecommunications work, and skipping about with joy in our new space.
"What?" said Sassy Spy. "You mean I have a phone of my own??"
In an incredibly unhappy circumstance of timing, the lift was out of action for maintenance, so kudos to the guys at Smooth Movers who got our heavy desks, books and plant up a phenomenal four floors without fuss.
We'll post the details of our new numbers just as soon as we make the phones work. But, for the moment, we're excited, happy, and, after all that walking up and down four floors of stairs, have calf muscles like steel.
