Tesco to launch prestige beauty brands

We broke the news about Tesco's imminent launch of in-store You Beauty salons back in March. Now we're pleased to announce that Tesco will be launching some seriously on-trend prestige beauty brands in selected Tesco stores in the very near future.

Included are ranges from Diego Della Palma, Natio, Le Couvent Des Minimes and The Vintage Cosmetic Company.

Tesco may be a controversial topic amongst many community-conscious shoppers, but this new launch will certainly make getting high-quality, unusual brands easy for beauty lovers with busy schedules.

Leeds Metropolitan University to launch Wellness Institute

Leeds Metropolitan University Wellness Institute

As you know, we're all about training and education here at GSG. We attended a networking event about the training needs of spa staff back in July. The overall consensus was that training and continuing education are an integral and imperative part of working in the spa industry, both initially and on-going.

Leeds Metropolitan University have realised the need for more education, research and information about health and well-being, and have recently announced their intention to launch a Wellbeing Institute on campus.

According to the University:

"The Institute for Health and Wellbeing will undertake research into the health status of individuals and communities and will investigate issues including men's health, healthy communities, health promotion and nutrition and childhood obesity."

We're thrilled that these serious topics are going to be tackled by the university, and wish them every success in their research endeavours. We'll keep an ear out for their findings. If you'd like to find out more about the research in the meantime, visit the Leeds Metropolitan University website.
