We made the annual pilgrimage to Olympia at the weekend for the Olympia Beauty exhibition, an event that showcases the latest innovations in Beauty World. The big story this year is definitely lashes. Lashes were absolutely everywhere!

Volunteers having lashes applied at OlympiaLash Perfect's director, Christina Jenkins told us, "Eyelash extensions are the fastest growing spa and salon service in Europe right now. Fads in beauty come and go, but lash extensions are here to stay."

The queues we saw to get extensions were impressive and, happily, the results equally so. Lash extensions are definitely the new mani-pedi, for a lunch-time "instant lift" treatment. Fancy trying Lash Perfect? All Bannatyne spas offer the treatment.

Spa favourites Dermalogica were exhibiting and told us that they have a brand-new Ultra-Calming line out in June next year, which will be available as a facial. We can't wait to give that a whirl.

Heroes of the classic non-surgical face-lift, CACI, had a new system which they unveiled at the show: the "Ultimate", which combines microcurrent, microdermabrasion and LED treatments all-in-one for the first time. Dove Spas have ordered the new CACI machines, along with Urban Retreat at Harrods. CACI aim for results-based non-surgical solutions, perfect for facial toning, skin rejuvenation, acne or congested skin, and sun-damaged skin, too.

So -- fluttery lashes, ultra-calm skin, and fabulously toned facials are on the cards for 2011. We like the way that looks!
