We love

2 min read

A short while ago, we had an international phone call from the lovely people at Côte du Soleil in Australia, telling us all about their range of luxuriously scented monoi de Tahiti oils and bath milks. We were lucky enough to get to try them, but they weren't yet available in the UK.

Good news! Côte du Soleil is now available to buy online, so you can try the heavenly body oils, indulgent bath milks for yourself.

What is monoi oil?

An ancient Tahitian word meaning "scented oil", monoi is an infusion of gardenia petals (or tiare) in coconut oil. It's wonderfully fragrant and full of nutrients.

What we thought:

Stylish Spy:

"I tried the frangipani-scented monoi oil. Coconut oil solidifies at temperatures below 20 degrees, so you have to warm it up first. This simply adds to the luxury, though, as the warm oil sinks almost instantly into your skin.

The floral scent is heavenly, and I love how silky-smooth my skin feels after application."

Shy Spy:

"Coconut oil is my favourite oil for multi-tasking - it's perfect for both skin and hair as it moisturises perfectly without being too greasy, and it smells divine! I love the lightly scented tiare version of the monoi oil, but the more pungent vanilla oil is gorgeous too."

Whilst we love Côte du Soleil, we feel it our duty to point out that these products aren't cheap; 125ml oils will set you back around £30; 250ml around £50.
