The Good Spa Spies love a zany product, so when we were asked to test some Mohdoh, we were only too happy to oblige.
When the range of gloriously neon pots of mouldable aromatherapy arrived, we immediately got stuck in, finding a suitable spy to test each of the eight pots of dough-therapy.
Stylish Spy took on Quit and Sleep, Sassy Spy grabbed Slim, Sweet Spy had a go with Unwind and Calm, Single Spy took Travel for her next trip, Salubrious Spy tried Breathe, and I decided Think was just right for me.
What's the hype?
Apparently, the combination of touch, smell and visual stimulation can be a powerful therapy. As you mould the dough, the aromatherapy oils are vaporised. By inhaling and absorbing the oils, you are soothed and calmed, and the use of colour therapy is supposed to balance out-of-harmony energy centres.
And the verdict?
Well, I have to say, overall we loved Mohdoh! Whilst Sassy Spy's craving for crumpets may not have truly subsided, she did find that the moulding and the therapeutic scent of fennel, geranium, patchouli and rosemary helped her refrain from going in for seconds.
The soothing scents of Sleep may not have sent Stylish Spy to the Land of Nod at her desk, but it certainly smelt very pleasant!
Salubrious Spy, however, wasn't too keen on Mohdoh – the smell was a little too potent for her liking, and she wasn't too enamoured with the feeling of oil residue on her skin.
Although I remain a little sceptical about the real effects of colour therapy, I cannot deny that spending a few minutes each day moulding my Mohdoh did seem to raise my spirits and, as yellow is supposed to be associated with joy and happiness, maybe there's more to this chromatherapy than I thought!
I think it's a shame that the dough doesn't last very long – it starts to dry up within a few days of being used. However, by taking a smaller piece from the pot and moulding that, you can help extend your Mohdoh mouldable aromatherapy experience.
MohDoh is available at a number of Boots stores nationwide, as well as a select number of other retailers, with an RRP of £4.99 per pot. For a full list of stockists visit the Mohdoh website.
