These days life is FAST. While we're usually averse to all the rushing (there's a good reason why our motto is: "It's always nice to have a bit of a lie-down"), when it comes to looking younger, fresher or less tired, we're all for a quick fix!

We know that you can't expect miracles, but we have to admit to being a little excited about the recent launch of Nanoblur.

According to the hype, Nanoblur can make you look 10 years younger in 40 seconds. Wow! Apparently Nanoblur is "a suspension of millions and millions of particles that reflect light perfectly in billions of directions to make the skin's surface appear completely flawless".

Well, this we simply had to try!

It's all a blur ...

Stylish Spy, Sassy Spy and Shy Spy were the lucky recipients of this supposed wonder-cream, and we all set to work seeing what it could do.

The verdict?

Nanoblur brings with it a whole lotta hype (and a silly name). However, if you strip away some of the more outlandish claims, what you're left with is a pretty sturdy product.

Nanoblur does make your pores less visible, and it makes skin feel so smooth it's almost as if you've been coated with Teflon. (That may be an odd comparison, but it's the closest we could get to describing the rather unusual smooth feel!) We found that it did help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, although it didn't stand up against some more deep-set baddies. If you're wearing it with make-up, apply Nanoblur after your foundation but before any powders. We found that it helped our make-up stay put. A sort of primer, if you like.

You can also use Nanoblur on other parts of your body. Mr Stylish Spy tested a little on his hands and found a reduction in his newly appearing age-spots and a more even skin tone overall. Very nice.

So, we didn't look 10 years younger. But we did shave a few months off. The price tag, and the fact that you only need to use a little at a time, means that this is an affordable and staple addition to our beauty bags that we would buy again.

That's pretty impressive.

You can buy Nanoblur from Boots stores nationwide and at Boots.com for £19.99
