Overview

Located opposite Buckingham Palace in London, The Bath House - Banya London blends the traditions of the authentic slavic banya with the best of the contemporary spa.

Banya is the slavic cousin of the Finnish sauna, Turkish hammam and other steam baths. Hotter than the hammam but cooler and more humid than the sauna, the temperature in the steam room ranges from 60 – 75C with humidity of 60 – 70%.

The Bath House comprises a public (shared) and private banya (for groups of up to 8 people). Both banyas have a log cabin steam room with a traditional ceramic handmade stove, tipping buckets and ice cold plunge pool.

The signature treatment parenie is an intense steam massage performed with soaked oak, birch and eucalyptus leaves. The Bath House offers scrubs, body wraps and invigorating massage, all performed with organic ingredients like coffee, tar soap, sea salt and honey.

The Bath House is a social place, somewhere to visit with friends and family and enjoy freshly cooked Eastern European food and home-made soft drinks perfect to stay hydrated at the banya.

The banya has multiple physical and mental health benefits. It helps reduce stress; rapid changes in temperature strengthen the cardiovascular and immune systems. Heat and steam alleviate pain in the muscles and open the pores.
