As if excitement levels could get any higher, we can finally reveal that our presenter for the 2023 Good Spa Guide Awards is multi-award-winning comedian, actress and Strictly legend Jayde Adams.
You may recognise Jayde from Sophie Willan's BAFTA winning TV series Alma's Not Normal and Neil Gaiman's Good Omens; she also co-hosts the BAFTA nominated series Snackmasters as well as Netflix smash hit Crazy Delicious. Last year Jayde was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, partnering with Karen Hauer – and who can forget her legendary Flashdance number?
Talking about the forthcoming awards, Jayde says: “I travel far and wide across the world, seeking relaxation, it’s about time I gave out some prestigious awards for it.”
But is she a spa-goer herself? “Yes, 100%. I love immersing myself in different types of liquid and temperatures: hot, cold, hot, bubbly, freezing, salty and volcanic...”
“Facials, massages, hot stones… basically, without sounding too saucy, I like being fiddled around with. I’d pay someone to tickle my back if they didn’t think it was weird.”
Currently in the middle of her UK tour entitled Men, I Can Save You, Jayde can’t wait to share her next project: Take That movie, Greatest Days (pictured above) which is out on June 16th at cinemas. “It’s totally feel-good,” she says. You’re all going to love it.”
