Y Spa at Wyboston Lakes

Set in 380 acres of wide green open space with a glittering lake, you’ll find Y Spa. A recent addition to the sleek and ultra-modern The Waterfront Hotel & Restaurant – Y Spa has a fabulous indoor/outdoor wet and thermal spa with steam room and two saunas – one of which is a beautiful Kelo wood sauna make from one-hundred-year-old logs and reaching temperatures of 85 degrees! The crowning glory has to be the outdoor hydrotherapy pool, set in a redbrick courtyard garden terrace.

A great range of Murad and Elemis spa treatments are on offer in one of the eleven treatment rooms, including three double treatment rooms and an accessible treatment suite, manicure and pedicure stations, and a gloriously messy Mud Rasul. A well-earned snooze can take place in one of three aptly named relaxation rooms - the Big Sleep, Time Out, and the Chill Lounge.

Y Spa has its own café for refreshments and afternoon tea. Fish tanks built into the walls give you something calming to gaze at as you sip on your smoothie or quaff a glass of the signature Bottega Gold Prosecco and gaze at the flickering fairy lights in the trees.

"We have just come back from a over night stay. I can honestly say it wasnt for us.We felt like our room (which was a exectutive room) was more like a premier inn room, hate to see a basic room.Fridge we couldnt open, ice machine didn't work,my robe was full of holes, rooms are very very hot,you can hear all the noise from the other rooms, doors being slammed!!Lunch was cold and not really edible,we only used the outdoor hydrotherapy pool, very small, quite alot of people, seating area is very compact. We tried the pool at the leisure pool, very dirty n tired looking,so we didnt bother going in,hot tub was not very appealing either, tiles missing .Also to top it off,we had requested a late check out, which reception said was fine,11.20am door bell rings, duty manager, reminding us check out was 11.00am....how rude! Definately not worth the money we paid, wouldnt recommend it to anybody either,my advice would be avoid...."

"My Mum and I visited this spa in January as we have an annual visit somewhere new each year. This is now in my top two spas! The hotel rooms were newly refurbished and the spa also modern. Importantly for me it was very clean and plenty of staff on hand to help and keep things tidy. The therapists were excellent. I had Hannah who expertly worked my knots out! The food was also good quality and delicious. I will definitely be returning. This would be a lovely break for couples too and I'll be bringing my husband next time. "
