The Good Spa Guide goes global!

Every day we are contacted by gorgeous, exotic, glamorous and truly luxurious spas ... and that's just from here in the UK! The time has come to spread our wings and experience what the rest of the world has to offer.

Soon, goodspaguide.co.uk will be a place to read reviews and find more information about the spas that the Good Spa Spies have been lucky enough to visit in far-off lands, not just the UK.

Sedate Spy was recently whisked away to the gorgeous Cyprus sun, courtesy of the kind folks at Thanos Hotels, to experience the holistic serenity of their Anassa Hotel and Thalassa Spa.

Anassa Hotel and Thalassa Spa is globally renowned as the "grande dame" of Cyprus; Sedate Spy certainly thought so on her visit. Located in the pristine Mediterranean countryside, on the shores of the Asprokremnos beach, the hotel has the feeling of an authentic Cypriot village with the five-star luxury you'd expect from a Thanos Hotel.

Sedate Spy lounged by the many pools, enjoyed some out-of-this-world treatments, and sampled the outstanding cuisine. When it comes to a trip highlight, she was hard-pressed to find just one. However, she hasn't stopped raving about the Organic Pharmacy honey-and-jasmine mask in her organic facial!

In terms of food, Sedate Spy was incredibly impressed with the standard throughout her stay; the modern twists on traditional Cypriot and Mediterranean food left her sated after every meal.

What made this trip really special was the location. Cyprus has the cleanest sea water in the Med, so Sedate Spy took advantage and swam in the sea every day! With a balcony overlooking the sea, and glorious views from the outdoor pools, the Anassa Hotel and Thalassa Spa was the perfect destination for relaxation and pampering.

We flew with Cyprus Airways from Heathrow as organised by Prestige Holidays

Prestige Holidays (www.prestigeholidays.co.uk 01425 480400) is offering a seven night stay at the Anassa in February 2012 from £1262 per adult including return flights on Easyjet from London Gatwick to Paphos and  based on two people sharing a Studio Suite on BB, with private taxi transfers and the services of the operator's local representative. The price includes an early booking offer of £403 per couple if booked by 31 March 2012.

A five night stay in February would be £955 per person including the same as above (plus an EBO saving of £270 per couple).
